Application Home Page

When opening the application you will get the app homepage:

From this page you can navigate directly to “My Rules” – to manage your rules, “Rules Market” – to share with the AutomateIt community, and of course do some common operations like “Add Rule”, “Search” the market, Settings etc.

“My Rules” section

On this section you can see how many rules you have. By clicking the section you will enter to My Rules screen and be able to manage your rules (see more details below).

By clicking the Add Rule you will start the rule definition wizard (see more details below).

Backup & Restore Rules

By clicking Backup Rules the app will create a backup file containing your rules. We recommend backing up from time to time and especially before version upgrades or other major changes to your device. All backups are stored on your external storage (/sdcard/AutomateIt/Backups) and will be kept even if you uninstall the application.

When clicking Restore Rules you will get a list of your backup files so you can choose which set of rules you want to restore. After choosing the backup file you will be able to selectively restore rules from your backup by check/uncheck rules from a list and choose rather adding them to existing rules or replace existing with them.

“Rules Market” section

On this section you can see how many market points you have. By clicking the section you will enter to the AutomateIt rules market and be able to see rules defined by AutomateIt community, download rules, share with friends etc.

By clicking the Search Rules you will be able to define a search query in the market, and start finding the best rules available.

By clicking the User Details you can register to AutomateIt rules market or update your registration details.

Choose supported language – Available if the “Use default language” is un checked. The selected language will be used once you exit the settings screen.

Flip Right-To-Left – This option is only relevant for languages that requires right-to-left reading order and the installed ROM does not support it (keeps text aligned to the left). Other languages are not affected by this setting.

Want to have another language supported ? See a spelling mistake that should be fixed ? What languages are already supported ? Click here for more details.

Triggered Rules History

The application saves the history of triggered rules so you can keep track of which rule was triggered, and when. The default history size is set to the last 30 events and you can change that setting from the settings screen. From the screen’s menu you can export the triggered rules history to a CSV file or clear the history. By clicking on the “History” icon of each rule you can see its history records (more details below):In the About screen you will be able to see app details, links and shortcuts to contact us for suggestions or help.

Clicking the Help shortcut  will create a support email with some info and log files attached. Please describe your problem and then easily send it all together to our technical support.

Clicking the Email Developer shortcut  will create a new email message that you can easily send us.
