Power on volume

Sets phone to ringer and sets up volume levels when the phone is plugged in. Useful if you usually keep your phone on vibrate on your person, but want it to ring when you charge it.

Power disconnect volume to vibrate

Puts the phone to vibrate when you unplug it. This assumes that you stick it in your pocket and will want to set it to vibrate
